The British celebrate Hallowe'en on the 31 of October. They believe that on that day the souls of the dead return to places where they lived. People decorate their houses with pumpkins, dress as witches, ghosts, devils, cats or bats. In the evening there are a lot of Hallowe'en parties. It's hard to imagine a party without a scary story told in a low voice on Hallowe'en night.
